Typically, kahit hindi kasal sa isa't-isa ang mga magulang, basta't recognized at acknowledged ng lalaki ang bata, puedeng dalhin ng bata ang pangalan ng kanyang ama at puede siyang humingi ng support.
Kahit naman hindi acknowledged or recognized ang bata, puede pa rin naman humingi ng support. Iyon nga lang, dudulog kayo sa husgado. Una, patutunayan ninyo through DNA evidence na ang bata ay talagang anak nga noong sinasabing ama. Pangalawa, kung napatunayan na na ang bata ay anak nga niya, patutunayan naman na may kakayanan siyang mag-suporta sa bata (kasi kung walang trabaho o may sakit, paano naman susuporta ang lalaki, diba?), kailangan ding magbigay ng ebidensiya kung magkano ang kailangang suporta ng bata at kung magkano ang kayang ibigay na suporta ng ama.
