Japanese spouse wants to adopt my Filipino children

Fleriza Basilio
is in the Philippines

I am a Filipina who got married to a Japanese National last October 2016. I have two children from my ex-boyfriend ages 9 (turning 10 on May) and 7 (turning 8 on October). My husband wants to adopt my Filipino children so he may call the as his own and they may live with us in Japan soon. What are the steps which we should take and approximately how much would it cost? Please help us. Thank you and more power.

You will need a lawyer in the Philippines.

Una kasi, you did not state kung ang mga anak ninyo ng boyfriend mo ay registered sa name ng boyfriend mo o sa maiden name mo lamang.

Two, if your spouse wants to adopt the children, your boyfriend will have to give his consent to the adoption as well.
