Name Correction: Proseso, Gaano katagal, Magkano?

Anong mainam na gawin, dahil nung kumuha po ako ng NSO birth certificate ko may nakalagay na "Baby Girl" sa tabi ng name ko. Pero yung birth certificate ko galing sa munisipyo namin ay name ko mismo ang nakalagay. Paano po ba ang tamang proseso ng pag change or name correction, ilang days po bago ko malaman kung okay na yung birth certificate ko at magkano po ang aking dapat bayaran. Samalat po sa sasagot. :)

Mukhang ang inyong problema ay isang typographical error noong nag-makinilya ng inyong birth certificate sa munisipyo. Ang mga ganito pong problema sa birth certificate ay maaaring magawan ng paraan sa pamamagitan ng pag-punta sa NSO (na ngayon ay PSA na -- Philippine Statistics Office). Ito po ay sumasailalim sa RA 9048.

Mayroon po silang form doon at doon po'y ilalathala ninyo ang problema ng inyong birth certificate. Ito po ay administrative na proceso na hindi na kailangan ng abogado. May bayad po ito (hindi ko lang sigurado kung magkano na ngayon).

May isa lang problema. Kasi, sa panahon ngayon, uso na ang mga transgender at transsexual na mga tao. Ito ay mga taong ipinanganak na lalaki o babae ngunit,nagpa-surgery sila kung kaya't nabago ang kanilang kasarian. So, may mga taong matapos magpa-surgery at magpa-palit ng kasarian, ay nais nilang ipa-bago ang kanilang birth certificate para palabasin na sila'y ipinanganak na lalake o babae kahit na sila'y naging babae o lalake dahil sa isang operasyon at hindi naman likas na babae o lalaki noong ipinanganak.

Dahil dito, kailangan ninyong mag-bigay ng proof na kayo nga ay lalaki talaga noong kayo'y ipina-nganak. may affidavit siguro ng inyong ina, ama, kumadrona, ate, kuya, tiya, tiyo. Kailangan din ng mga iba pang ebidensiya, tulad na lang halimbawa ng baptismal certificate na kung saan nakasaad ang inyong kasarian, ang inyong school records kung saan nakalagay ang inyong kasarian. Baka maigi din na magpa-check-up kayo (ultrasound din) para makita na kayo nga ay lalake at may mga reproductive organs ng lalaki at magpa-issue ng medical certificate na kayo ay hindi naoperahan ng sex change kung kaya't ang entry sa inyong birth certificate ay tunay na typographical error lamang.

Ang mga ito ay patunay na simula't sapul, kayo'y walang duda na lalaki at sadya lamang na nagkamali ang nag-makinilya ng inyong certificate of live birth at nailagay ang "girl" sa halip na "boy".
