Since you're here... May we ask for a small favor?

Unlike others, we don’t charge user fees for asking questions from our medical, legal and other experts. This is because we want to keep our services free and accessible to all, regardless of social or financial status.

But it’s difficult and expensive work. While more underserved Filipinos are using BuhayOFW, none are paying for it. And advertising revenues across are minimal. Nevertheless, we have costs like any other top site: servers, power, rent, programs, staff, medical/legal experts, etc. We take no government funds; we run on donations.

So if you value our work in helping less fortunate Filipino friends – then become a Supporter and help make our future more secure. Help us continue our work.

tanong ko po. okay lang ba na tuwing mgbayd nlng ako is VOLUNTARY ilagay ko? khit na self employed nalagay ko or naiapply ko nun nagmember ako?

Salamat po sa sasagot..plss

Iba po ang self-employed sa voluntary member. kasi, ang self-employed, may sarili kang business o kaya, you practice your profession at hindi ka sumusuweldo.

The best thing to do is to inquire from the SSS itself. They will be better able to explain to you the difference between voluntary and self-employed lalo na sa mga benefits na makukuha.
