After non saka iresume ung pag take. Pero hindi ko na po tinuloy. Dec 18 po dapat magkakaron ako kaso spotting lang po. 1 day lang un then nung January 2 & 3 may nangyari po samin ng bf ko. May possibility po ba na preggy ako?? By the way po nung hininto ko ung pills me nangyari rin po samin.

Hello She!

Sorry for the delayed response :). Anyway, to answer your question, mataas ang possibility that you're NOT PREGNANT for the following reasons:

1. Birth Control Pills (Let's call it BCPs) begin to work after 7 days of correct usage. IDEALLY, you and your partner may use alternative contraceptive methods like condoms, etc UP TO the 1st month after taking the first pill.

2. It takes about 1-2 months for pregnancy to resume after a complete cycle of oral contraceptive. Yung iba nga inaabot ng 6-8 months.

3. Symptoms you've mentioned gaya ng pagkahilo, feeling-gutom, bloatedness (feeling-busog), nasusuka, topakin/mood swings are EXACTLY documented as POTENTIAL Side Effects of BCPs. If you still want to use BCPs, try using other brands or another type of pill.

4. SPOTTING. (just another symptom and should have been just added in no.3) Spotting or even ABSENT menstruation when starting BCPs is considered normal. No worries, there :) In fact, there is a technique to completely get rid of your monthly period by using BCPs.

There you have it. You MIGHT not be pregnant based on the reasons mentioned BUT it is still possible if you have not used any form of birth control method prior to taking the pill or less than 7 days after taking the first one. If you wanna make sure, mag PT ka ulit. PT kits are most accurate on or after a missed period. You mentioned you were supposed to have a period on Dec 18 but spotting lang naexperience mo... That means January 18, or around this day yung supposedly next monthly period mo. Check mo, tas balikan mo kami rito. Just a friendly and professional advice, if it turns out na pregnant ka nga, keep mo si baby po :)
