Pano makaiwas sa problema habang nag-aaply ng passport? Difficulties in application, long queues, requirements

Important

1. Personal appearance is required for all applicants.

2. Confirmed appointment is required for all applicants except senior citizens, infants and minors below 1 year old, person with disability and OFWs. For OFWs, sufficient proof must be submitted such as a valid employment contract or OEC.

3. Earrings and contact lenses are not allowed during data capturing. Smiling with visible teeth is also not allowed.

4. Check all the data in the computer monitor and in the Enrolment Certificate before signing it.

5. Only immediate family members are allowed to get the passport in behalf of the applicant. Immediate family members include father, mother, brother, sister, spouse and children of legal age.

6. Passport shall be released to an immediate family member only with proper authorization letter. Passport of a minor applicant shall be released to parents only or to an authorized representative with Special Power of Attorney and Affidavit of Support and Consent.

7. Passports unclaimed after six (6) months will be cancelled per Department Order No. 37-03.

8. Check all data in the received e-passport upon release.

9. Number of processing days may vary depending on the location of the Regional Consular Office where the application was filed.

10. The Department may require additional supporting documents as may be necessary, especially for applicants with dual citizenship and with foreign sounding family names to prove citizenship.

Please take note that there is an additional fee of P200.00 for a lost valid MRRP / MRP or P350.00 for a lost valid e-passport.

Medical Examination

News keeps us informed of what is taking place around us. It tells us of political events, extraordinary and the ordinary important events. Even the advertisements have their value. In the world today, reading the news is essential and necessary.

Newspapers give us deeper in sight into the event. With newspapers you can choose to spend a few minutes or a few hours reading repeatedly a piece of news, unlike television.

Reading motivates the drive to know what happens next, to want to turn the page, the need to keep going. So it forces us to learn new words, to think new thoughts. In addition, it also builds empathy.

Reading the news is like gaining insider access to current information about the world we live in today. It records events that happen. It is important and interesting to read about developments and progress that are being made from day to day in the affairs of your country or in the affairs to the world. Thus, reading a newspaper makes us fit to participate in our society. It also helps develop an educated mind, informed judgment, and critical understanding.

It has been said that to read is to fly and it is to soar to a point of vantage which gives a view over wide terrains of history, human variety, ideas, shared experience and the fruits of many inquiries. Reading is a particular exercise that not only gives an insight to the world around, but gives us an inner comfort. When we read a particular news, we start identifying ourselves with situations and those around us. By reading, we are actually viewing a reflection of our society. In the fast paced modern world of today, it has become very important to be updated. Newspaper is a great way of keeping ourselves updated. Newspapers remain the most invaluable source of news and information, despite the different forms of the electronic media.

Reading news also inadvertently improves one’s language skills. News items and articles are written to express and communicate, thus precision and meticulous use of words and expressions are used. As a result, a person will absorb these language and style details while going through news items and articles, as well as sharpen communication skills in reading and writing. Consequently, comprehension skills are enhanced. The more one reads, new words and expressions reveal their meaning to the reader’s mind. Unconsciously, our vocabulary is enhanced and the language ability improves, becoming more expressive and fluent.

May we ask for a small favor?

Unlike others, we don't charge users fees for asking questions from our medical, legal and other experts. This is because we want to keep our services free and accessible to all, regardless of social or financial status.

But it's difficult and expensive work. While more underserved Filipinos are using BuhayOFW, none are paying for it. And advertising revenues are minimal. Nevertheless, we have costs like any other top site: servers, power, rent, programs, staff, medical/legal experts, etc. We take no government funds; we run on donations.

So if you value our work in helping less fortunate Filipino friends, then become a Supporter and help make our future more secure. Help us continue our work.
