Death of the victim is not a ground to dismiss the case po. The case must go on at depende po yan sa mga evidence na hawak ng prosecution. If the victim died before he/she testified it may affect somehow the strength of the case however, the testimony of her/his witnesses will still be considered by the court if those testimonies are sufficient to convict or acquit your wife. So palakasin nalang po ang depensa po ninyo na wala po siyang kasalanan para madismiss po.
