Ang mga Indiyan ay mga matatangkad, makakapal at maiitim ang mga labi, matangos ang ilong, unat ang buhok at mapupungay na mga mata.
Ang kanilang impluwensya sa atin ay mas nakikita sa ating pananalita. Nanggaling sa mga Indiyan ang paggamit natin ng kurdon at belo tuwing ikinakasal at ang paglalagay ng kuwintas sa mga panauhin na yari sa bulaklak. Sa larangan ng industriya ay natutuhan ng mga Pilipino ang paggawa ng gitara at paghahabi ng telang cotton galing sa kanila.

May mga salita din tayo na nakuha at ginagamit natin sa pang araw-araw sa mga Indiyan tulad ng nanay, bathala, asawa, sandata, maharlika, at iba pa.

Gaya ng mga ibang ninuno ay ginagawa rin ng mga Indiyan ang sistemang barter o pagpapalitan ng produkto. Ang mga produktong dala nila ay ipinapalit sa mga produkto sa ating bansa tulad ng perlas.
