10 years old na yung panganay ko. Nakaapelyido siya sa akin. Gusto ko sanang apelyido na rin ng tatay niya ang gamitin niya. Paano po ang gagawin ko na less hassle at less gastos? We're both working parents po kaya halos wala kaming time na asikasuhin ang ganitong bagay. Thanks and God bless.

If kinasal po kayo ng Mister mo after birth ng bata all you have to do is Registered the Affidavit of Legitimation sa Civil Registry kung saan nakarehistro ang Birth Certificate ng anak mo. Otherwise, kung hindi kayo kasal consequently, illegitimate ang anak ninyo. Since nakaapelyido ng mother ang gamit at ngayon gusto mo nang ipagamit ang apelyido sa tatay niya kailangan po na mag execute ang father of acknowledgment in favor of the child. Kailangang iparehistro ito sa civil registry office where the birth of the child was registered. Ikaw din as Mother must execute an Affidavit to Use the Surname of the Father (AUSF) at iparehistro din sa Opisina ng Civil Registry kung saan nakarehistro ang birth certificate ng bata.

Parang late registration po ba yan saka mag-appear na yung apelyido ng tatay sa birth certificate? May form po ba na ready na or kami mismo ang gagawa? May babayaran po ba yun?
