R.A. 9175 ay tinatawag as "Chain Saw Act of 2002" kung saan ang regulate po ito sa mga chainsaw operator. Kung kayo po ay nag operate ng walang kaukulang licensya maaring maconfiscate ang inyong chainsaw plus kakasuhan po kayo na maaring magmumulta sa inyo ng kaukulang halaga at may imprisonment pa. Ang P.D. 705 naman ay known as " THE FORESTRY REFORM CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES" ito ay isang batas na nagregulate/nag papunish sa mga illegal logging/cutting and other illegal activities na makasisira sa ating Forest. Maaring you will be liable for both if ginawa mo ang pamumutol ng kahoy for your personal use na walang kaukulang permit. Mas mabuti po sa madaling panahon makipag coordinate sa DENR office na malapit sa inyo. Baka po manegotiate na hindi na lang po kayo makasuhan at magbabayad nalang po kayo ng penalty at mag undertake na kukuha na kayo ng licensya para sa business po ninyo.
Opo dalawa po ang kaso na kinakaharap namin. Sa chainsaw po dehado kami, pero po sa pd 705, may permit po kami sa pagputol from barangay dahil yung mga puno po na tumba ay epekto ng bagyong ursula. Kaso kinasuhan pa rin po kami.. I apela po sana namin yun atty na ibasura 6k din po kasi ang penalty. Hindi naman po kagubatan yung lugar namin, private area po yun.
