Personal grooming is a form of personal hygiene. It is not just that personal touch that you have while speaking but it can be your body accent and how you carry on your own. Personal grooming is very important for a positive self-image. Base sa mga huling pagsusuri ng mga doctor at spesialista, huwag sumuko dahil may mga paraan maiwasan ang pangungulubot ng balat.


Narito ang iilang mga paraan:


Iwasan ang pagbibilad sa araw. Magsuot ng puting o kulay pastel na damit at sombrero kung ikaw ay nasa labas ng bahay. Huwag gumamit ng tanning booths na mas malala pa ang epekto sa araw.


Gumamit ng sunscreen. Ang sunscreen ay mabisang gamitin upang maiwasan ang mabilis na pagtanda ng balat ayon sa mga doktor. Ito ay kanyang nirerekomenda na maglagay ng sunscreen na may SPF (sun protection factor) 15 tatlumpung minute bago lumabas ng bahay upang maprotektahan ang iyong balat mula sa UVA (Ultraviolet A) at UVB(Ultraviolet B) rays. Tingnan kung ang produktong ginamit mo ay nagtataglay ng zinc or titanium oxide.


Iwasan ang polusyon. Kung lalabas ng bahay, siguraduhin na hindi ka mai-expose sa sobrang polusyon. Ang mga usok mula sa mga sasakyan ay masama sa katawan na nagiging sanhi ng mabilis na pangungulubot ng balat.


Pangalagaan ang balat ng maaga. Simulan ng maaga ang anti-aging skin care program. Ayon sa mga spesialistang doctor, magkonsulta sa non-surgical skin care doctor. Marami ang mga produkto na makakatulong ubang maiwasan o mabawasan ang pangungulubot.


Huwag manigarilyo. Ang paninigarilyo ay nagtatanggal ng oxygen at mga bitamina sa katawan. Pinapataas pa nito ang bilang ng free radicals sa loob ng iyong body cells na nagiging sanhi ng pagtanda. Ang bilang ng sigarilyo na iyong naubos at ang bilang ng taon ng iyong paninigarilyo ay may relasyon sa pagtaas mabilis na katandaan, ayon sa mga doctor.


Magsuot ng salamin. Bukod sa pananatili sa loob ng bahay upang maiwasan ang pangungulubot, ang pagsuot ng salamin ay mabisang gamiting upang maprotektahan ang manipis at sensitibong balat sa paligid ng iyong mata mula sa UV radiation.


Huwag matulog ng nakadapa. Magkakaroon ka ng guhit sa iyong mukha kung ikaw ay matutulog ng nakadapa at ito ang pagmumulan ng kulubot sa mukha. Ang unan na nababalutan ng satin na tela ay makakatulong din upang malabanan ang pangungulubot.


Gumamit ng moisturizer. Ang paglalagay ng moisturizer sa balat ay nakakatulong upang maging hydrated at maging malambot ang balat.

Kumain ng tama. Kumain ng gulay, prutas at isda. Uminom ng maraming tubig at tsaa. Kumain ng salmon tatlong beses sa isang linggo o alinmang isda na mataas sa omega 3 fatty acids tulad ng herring, mackerel, trout o tuna. Ang masusustansyang pagkain ay isa sa pinakamabisang paraan upang malabanan ang mabilis na katandaan dahil sa angking antioxidants nito, bitamina at mineral nito.


Iwasan ng matatamis na pagkain. Ang mga pagkain na prinoseso na may mataas na bilang ng asukal ay nagtataglay ng kemikal na nagiging sanhi ng maagang katandaan ng balat.


Gumamit ng Retin-A o Renova.


“Magpatingin sa doctor para sa preskripsyon ng Retin-A, ito ay isang krema na napatunayan na mabisang gamitin upang mabawasan ang maliliit na linya at pangungulubot. Ito rin ay nagpapakapal ng balat na nagsisimula ng maging manipis na bahagi ng proseso ng pagkakaedad,” ayon kay Dr. Gerrish. Kung ang iyong balat ay tuyo, magtanong tungko sa Renova, isang krema na mabisa rin upang malabanan ang pangungulubot.


Huwag masyadong ma-stress. Kung ikaw ay stressed out, ang iyong katawan ay naglalabas ng aging hormone na tinatawag na cortisol at ito ay sumasama sa daluyan ng iyong dugo. Kung ikaw ay may chronic stress, subukang mag yoga, magsulat sa iyong journal, maglakad, mag-meditate. Gawin ang lahat ng paraan na makakatulong sa iyo upang maiwasan ang stress, payo ng mga doctor.

The leading thing is always to look clean up. This could be the basic step of your grooming. Have got your nails neatly manicured. Maintain ears along with body clean up.

• Wear right clothes for the right occasion. Wearing appropriate clothes is good personal grooming.
• Apply deodorant or body spray every morning and keep a container with yourself in case you need it. Do not spray yourself with too much perfume or aftershaves. A subtle fragrance is more pleasing to the senses than the overwhelming ones.

Skin care is another such aspect that you must take care of. Most of the women do not have the soft and smooth skin that is desired. Follow the proper skin care regime so that your skin is moisturized and has a natural glow. Use sunscreen when you go out of doors and drink enough water to keep your body fluids in balance.

• Shampoo your hair often and keep it healthy and shiny. Cut and trim your hair regularly, including nose hairs. Your hair cut and style should complement directly to your facial features and shapes. The cut should also be according to the profession you are pursuing. Air dry is better than towel dry. Keep dirt off brushed and combs.

• Keep your finger nails neat and clean. Avoid painting them with dark or bright colors unless it is a special occasion.

• Always be simple and neatly dressed to impress others. Avoid using showy toenail colors which are too shiny or catchy.

• Avoid wearing clothes that are stained, look crumpled or smell of body odors.

• And at last but not the least, eat a proper balanced and healthy diet. And exercise regularly. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables to the maximum and fast food to the minimum.


Simple dress and good manners reflect you are confident, reliable and considerate. Personal grooming additionally involves how you eat. Dining etiquette is important. Put the napkin on the lap rather than your scruff of the neck. Make minimum noise with the utensils if you are eating. Sleep and exercises also help in keeping your skin looking perfectly groomed.
