Paano pa-straight o pa-unat ng buhok? Hair straightening, rebonding tips

Maganda at masaya din naman ang pagkakaroon ng kulot o wavy na buhok pero mahirap nga lang panatilihing maayos. Personal grooming is a form of personal hygiene. It is not just that personal touch that you have while speaking but it can be your body accent and how you carry on your own. Personal grooming is very important for a positive self-image.

Pwede naman mabago ang ayos ng buhok gamit ang tamang kagamitan, produkto at paraan. May mga taong natatakot ipa-unat ang kanilang buhok dahil sa posibiladad na ito ay masira. May mga shampoo din naman na tumutulong mag-unat ng buhok ngunit ito ay panandalian lamang. Para sa medyo mas matagal na pag-unat ng buhok, gawin ang mga sumusunod na paraan para maunat ang buhok nang hindi magdulot ng pagkasira dito:


1. Paggamit ng Straightening Iron


Unang hakbang ay ang pagshampoo ng buhok, gumamit ng conditioner, banlawan ang buhok at patuyuin ito gamit ang blow-dry. Mas epektibo ang pag-unat sa buhok na bagong hugas. May wastong paraan din ng paggamit ng straightening iron sa buhok. May iba’t-ibang uri ng straightening iron para sa iba’t ibang klase ng buhok.

· Para sa mahahabang buhok, gumamit ng plantsa sa buhok na 1½” hanggang 2” na lapad. Makatutulong ito sa mas mabilis na pag-unat ng buhok. Para naman sa maiikli ang buhok, gumamit ng mas manipis na plantsa, mga ½” hanggang 1” na lapad para makatulong sa pag-unat ng mga maliliit na bahagi ng buhok.

· I-set sa tamang init ang plantsa para sa uri ng buhok para makaiwas masira ito. Para sa mga maninipis ang buhok, ang init ng plantsa ay dapat nasa 93°C hanggang 143°C. Ang katamtaman na kapal ng buhok naman ay maaaring gumamit ng plantsa na nasa init na 149 hanggang 177°C. Para naman sa makakapal, magaspang at tikwas-tikwas na buhok, gamitin ang plantsa sa 177 hanggang 205°C na init nito.

· Gumamit ng tamang materyal ng iron plate kagaya ng ceramic, titanium at tourmaline. Hindi ito gaanong nakakasira ng buhok dahil pantay ang pag-init nito.


2. Paggamit ng Blow-dry


Bago gumamit ng blow-dry, magshampoo, gumamit ng conditioner at banlawan ang buhok. Pagkatapos ay patuyuin gamit ang twalya at alisin ang mga buhol gamit ang wide-tooth na suklay.

· Kapag malakas ang buga ng hangin at init ng blow-drier, mas madali at mabalis mag-unat ng buhok.

· Hati-hatiin ang buhok sa 2” hanggang 4” na lapad at hawakan ito gamit ang brush.

· Dapat na pababa ang diretso ng mainit na hangin. Matapos tuluyan matuyo ang buhok, pahanginan ng malamig na hangin para tulungan i-set ang ayos at madagdagan ang kintab ng buhok.


3. Magpa-Rebond ng buhok


Ang rebonding ay isang kemikal na proseso para unatin at pakintabin ang buhok. Ito ay permanenteng proseso sa pag-unat ng buhok, maliban na lamang sa mga bagong tubo ng buhok. Kailangang ayusin ang mga bagong tubo na buhok kada 3 o 6 na buwan o isang taon, depende sa bilis ng haba ng buhok. Mahal ang prosesong ito, depende sa mga salon, sa mga produktong ginagamit at pati na rin sa haba ng buhok. Matagal din ang prosesong ito at nakadepende din sa haba ng buhok. Ang haba na nasa gitna ng likod ay aabutin ng 8 oras sa pag-rebond. Nakakasira ang paglagay ng mga kemikal sa buhok kung kayat kailangan ng post treatment care, matapos magparebond. Dapat na iwasan ang iba pang kemikal na proseso sa buhok sa loob ng anim na buwan.

Proper washing of hair and using the right products go a long way in helping maintain a smooth, shiny and healthy hair.


To maintain a healthy hair, know how to properly wash it. Shampooing twice a week is the best way to have healthy hair. Washing daily will result to a lot of hair loss. How hair is washed depends on how much oil is produced from the scalp. Oily hair must be washed more frequently, as often as once a day. Treated hair may be drier and so it should be washed less frequently. Wash hair primarily on the scalp area rather than the entire length of the hair for it will only create flyaway, dull and coarse hair. After every shampoo, use a conditioner to improve the look, strength and feel of hair. Conditioner must only be used on the tips of the hair not on the scalp, to avoid making it look limp. Always choose a shampoo and conditioner that is formulated for the specific type of hair.


Protection is also necessary for a healthy hair. Protect the hair from the harmful effects of chlorine in swimming pools by using a swim cap and conditioning hair before swimming. Next, sun can cause damage to hair, and so one must protect the hair from sun exposure by using a hat.

Other tips to have a healthy hair include trimming the hair once a month to make the hair stay healthy. Regularly massage the roots at least 2 minutes to improve circulation and improve hair growth. Apply warm coconut oil all over the hair from the tip up to the roots, to add moisture to dry hair. To dry the hair, blot wet hair not rub with an absorbent microfiber towel and air-dry.
