What are the coolest electronic gadgets today? Sa unang pag-labas ng MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, at Torque, hindi mo aakalain na may puwesto pang natitira para sa isa pang local player: ang Starmobile. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, ito ang pang-apat na local cellphone brand sa Pilipinas na naitatag para seryosong kumalaban sa mas sikat at mas mahal nitong mga multinational na counterpart gaya ng Samsung, Nokia, SonyEricsson, HTC, at iba pa. Noong nakaraang buwan lamang, nag-launch muli ng 11 na bagong gadget ang brand na ito na unang lumabas sa merkado eksaktong isang taon pa lamang ang nakakaraan.
Sa Davao nagbukas ang kauna-unahang concept store ng Starmobile, at noong katapusan ng nakaraang buwan, binuksan naman ang pangalawang eksklusibong store nito sa SM North Edsa, Quezon City para sa mas agresibo at mas malawak na pag-galaw nito sa merkado, lalo na dito sa Maynila. Ang sikat ngunit kontrobersyal na komedyanteng si Vice Ganda ang napili nilang endorser ng brand na dumalo din sa ribbon-cutting ng bagong Starmobile concept store.

Ito ay may malupit na 18MP camera w/ dual LED flash at may kasama pang 8MP naman na front-facing camera. Halos katumbas na nito ang ibang mga DSLR camera na available sa merkado. Ang parehong modelong ito ay may 1.2Ghz na quad-core processor na siguradong ikatutuwa ng mga user na mahilig sa games at multi-tasking.
Tiyak na pagkakaguluhan ngayon ng bansa ang mga bagong smartphone, phablets, at tablets na ito at tulad din ng MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, at Torque, malaking bagay ang pagiging local brand ng Starmobile para ang presyo nito ay maging abot-kaya ng maraming praktikal na Pinoy. At kung abot-kaya ang isang bagay na in-na-in para sa lahat, tiyak na papatok ito sa masa.
