Translation: My husband and I had been together for 5 years when he came here to Dubai. He found another woman and left us. I tried to work it out, so I followed him here in Dubai. But he said that he really loves the girl and asked me to let go of him. Gradually, I came to accept that.

I would now like to make our separation formal and legal. Can I file annulment here in Dubai, since we are both working here anyway? Can we file it here in Dubai, even if we were married in the Philippines?
