Forced to marry

I have been married since 2003. I was 18 at the time, still in college, living with my parents and pregnant with our 2nd child. I did not want to get married but i was threatened by my dad that he would throw me and my 1st born out of the house if i did not. I have since had a job and had our 3rd child. We are still living with my parents as i could not afford to get my own place while sending my 3 kids to school and taking care of expenses. My husband does not work and is addicted to marijuana. Im tired of his laziness and jealous fits. I also believe that he will be a bad influence to our children. Could i file for annulment? Are there public law offices who could provide service at little or no cost?

Your dad forced you to marry your boyfriend? I find this difficult to believe, but, well, truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. You can file an annulment case, of course. You can use the ground of psychological incapacity kasi nga, your husband does not support you, and your husband has drug addiction which will harm him and your children as well.

You must get a lawyer and you must prove your case well. Medyo mahigpit ang mga husgado. As I do not really know all the facts and I am going by what you mentioned, I can say that you probably have grounds. It is best to consult with a lawyer and tell that lawyer all the pertinent facts.
