I am a new ofw here in Qatar. I got a 1 year renewable ontract here. My problem is i was declared medically unfit by the medical commission of Qatar and my contract is subjected for termination by the company I'm employed.

I was declared "fit to work" in the Philippines by one of the GCC clinics where I conducted my pre employment medical exam. Can i ask if there is something that i can do for these matter because I left already my job in the Philippines and I already borrowed a huge amount and spent a lot for the processing of my papers for these new job here.

Now I'm already broke and nothing in hand. I worked here in Qatar for over 3 months already without being paid because I still dont have my labor card. I also have paid my agency a placement fee for the processing of my visa here. Maybe you can advise me something for this.

Thank you very much!

I cannot advise you about this as I do not know what particular medical reason there is that you were found "unfit to work" -- kasi, if it is only a transient condition (you had an active infection at the time of the examination) the condition may have passed and you are already fit to work.

However, if the reason why you are unfit to work is because of some underlying cause that was not detected by the medical examination in the Philippines, there is really nothing that can be done.
Thank you for your response atty. They already have terminated my contract. now I just want to know if can I get any assistance from the recruitment agency in the phillipines? or any help from the government agencies?
