A marriage is valid when it was validly entered. Since you are both of age (18 years or above) and you were not coerced, intimidated or unduly influenced, and you were married by a person who had authority to perform marriages, then your marriage is valid unless otherwise declared invalid by a court.

I think that once the Consulate had dispatched your certificate to the NSO, then it will be registered. It is only a matter of time. I think that the follow-up by email is only for you to know that it was duly registered so that you can get an official copy of it if you wish.

If the marriage certificate was not registered, then there is proof of its validity or due execution. Please consult a lawyer.
