Sinabihan ako ng doktor na kumain ng low-fat diet. Paano ako makakakuha ng sapat na calcium para mapigilan ang osteoporosis kung kailangan kong limitahan ang keso at gatas?


Topic: I was told by the doctor to eat a low fat diet. How could I get enough calcium to fight against osteoporosis if I need to limit my intake of cheese and milk?

Pinakamainam ang pagkain ng ilang dairy foods araw-araw dahil mabuti itong "source" ng calcium. Maraming ang mga "low-fat dairy products" at kadalasang nagtataglay ng mas maraming calcium kompara sa mga "full-fat versions".
Pwede mong subukang lumipat sa lower fat na pagkain o bawasan ang paggamit ng high-fat foods tulad ng hard cheese. Subukang lumipat galing sa:
• whole milk patungong semi-skimmed o skimmed milk
• Cheddar o Edam cheese patungong cottage cheese
• cream patungong yoghurt o low-fat creme fraiche
• Butter patungong low-fat spread
