Nakakahawa ba and extrapulmonary tuberculosis (infected sa lymph nodes)? I'm planning to bring my 1 yr old baby po in Dubai but my cousin have EPTB, iisa lang po kame ng tinirhan (sharing in studio flat) under medication na po ang cousin ko for 3 months.. possible po bang mahawa sa kanya si baby? Thank you in advance.


Topic: Is extra pulmonary tuberculosis (infected on lymph nodes) contagious? Because I' planning to bring my 1 year old aby to Dubai, but cousin has EPTB. We would be living in the same house as my cousin (studio flat). My cousin is currently under medication for 3 months. Can my baby get infected?

Extra Pulmonary Tuberculosis ang tawag kapag nasa ibang parte ng katawan ang TB sa labas ng baga (lungs). Karaniwan hindi nakakahawa ang Extra Pulmonary Tuberculosis (pwera sa laryngeal infection) at hindi madaling makalat sa iba.

Karaniwan hindi rin nakakahawa ang Lymph node TB, pwera nalang kung delayed ang treatment na nagdudulot ng discharging sinus, pero hindi rin ito gaano nakakahawa. Pero kailangan masigurado na walang TB sa baga, at kailangan ng regular checkup sa doctor at paginum ng gamot.
