Tanung lang po..nabakunahan na po ako laban sa tuberculosis pero dati pa matagal na. Kailangan ko pa po ba ulit ng booster?

Hindi, isang beses ka lang babakunahan ng BCG (Bacille Calmette-Guérin). Sa sandaling mabigyan ka na nito, ang proteksyon laban sa mga pinakamatinding anyo ng tuberculosis ay kadalasang tumatagal ng 10 hanggang 15 taon. Pero ang proteksyon laban sa tuberculosis sa baga ay mas mababa. Pwedeng hindi ka na mapabakunahan ng BCG ulit dahil wala namang matibay na ebidensyang nagpapakita na nakadaragdag ito ng proteksyon. Isa pa, ang pagpapabakuna ulit ay maaring magdulot ng matinding reaksyon sa palibot ng injection site katulad ng sugat, paltos, pigsa o peklat.
