Unang una, bawal sa batas o illegal ang pagpapalaglag (medical o surgical abortion) sa Pilipinas. Bukod dito, maari makakaramdam ng sari-saring negatibong emosyon pagkatapos magpalaglag. Pwede kang makaramdam ng lungkot o iba’t ibang emosyon. Pagkatapos magpalaglag maraming mga kababaihan na nakakaranas ng mahabang panahon na pagkalungkot o nagkakaroon ng psychological problem o sakit sa pag iisip. Sa mga may history o nakaranas ng “mental health problem” o sakit sa pag-iisip, posibleng makakaramdam sila ulit nito. Patuloy din silang nakakaramdam ng konsensya o tinatawag na guilt.
