Ang ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) ay isang kondisyon na nadedevelop kapag ang obaryo ay nagkakaroon ng matinding reaksyon sa mga gamot na ginagamit para mapasimulan ang pagkakabuo ng itlog sa obaryo. Mas may tsansa kang magkaroon nito kapag meron kang polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) at nagpapa-fertility treatment. Kung meron kang PCOS, malamang ay magkakaroon ka ng OHSS habang nagpapa-fertility treatment. Nangyayari ito kapag ang obaryo mo ay nagkakaroon ng matinding reaksyon sa mga pang-fertility na gamot na iyong iniinom. Maaari ka ring magkaroon ng OHSS matapos mong sumailalim sa ilang reproductive techniques para matulungan magka-anak, tulad ng in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Ang OHSS ang dahilan ng hindi normal na paglaki ng obaryo. Kabilang sa mga sintomas ng OHSS ay:
