PTB, blood and sputum test negative, Meganerv

Nagkaron po ako ng PTB findings last 2013, mga 9 months after pa po uli ako nag pa verify at same findings po, pero wala nman akong nararamdaman na kahit ano, at kahit sa mga labtest ko ng blood and sputum negative result, pero binigyan parin ako ng doktor na reseta Fixcom4 at Meganerv. Ano po ibig sabihin nun? Kasi mag 2 months nko umiinom ng gamot? Hindi ko kc naitanong sa doktor ko kung bakit kilangan ko pang uminom ng gamot samantalang negative naman mga test ko.. thanks. japz



Topic: I got tested for Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) last 2013. Nine months after, I had the same findings/results, but I don't feel anything wrong with me. Even in my blood and sputum results are negative. But the doctor still prescribed me Fixcom4 and Meganerv. What are these? I've been taking these for 2 months now. I wasn't able to ask the doctor why I'm taking these medicine, when my blood and sputum results are negative.

Mayroon ka sigurong inactive TB, kaya negative ang sputum test at chest xray mo, dahil walang active TB, pero inactive o latent (tago o tulog) siya. Nasa katawan ang TB germs pero inactive at hindi lumalaki o kumakalat siya. Kadalasan nakikita lamang ito sa TB skin test (PPD).
Ang mga taong may inactive TB ay walang sintomas at walang mararamdaman na sakit. Hindi rin ito nakakahawa. Pero maaaring maging active ang TB kapag humina ang iyong immune system o hindi ma-control ang TB germ, at nakakahawa na ito kapag active na ang TB.
Maaaring hindi parati kailangan ng treatment ang inactive TB, pero nakakatulong ito para mabawasan ang tsansa na ma-develop ito sa active TB. Kaya kapag mayroong inactive TB, maaaring mag-reseta ng doctor ng mga gamot sa loob ng 9 months to 1 year, para mabawasan ang panganib o tsansa na maging active ito.
