Question: Is there anyone here who has been able to loan from OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration)?

May we ask for a small favor?

Unlike others, we don't charge users fees for asking questions from our medical, legal and other experts. This is because we want to keep our services free and accessible to all, regardless of social or financial status.

But it's difficult and expensive work. While more underserved Filipinos are using BuhayOFW, none are paying for it. And advertising revenues are minimal. Nevertheless, we have costs like any other top site: servers, power, rent, programs, staff, medical/legal experts, etc. We take no government funds; we run on donations.

So if you value our work in helping less fortunate Filipino friends, then become a Supporter and help make our future more secure. Help us continue our work.

Hi Renato,

Hi jeremiah ...madami na kasi akong naka-usap na former OFW who wants to avail of the services being offered by OWWA like this reintegration program which you can avail of once you retire or want to put a business at home at lahat ng sagot nila wala daw pakinabang yung OWWA as in nagbabayad ka lang sa wala dahil sa dami daw ng requirement na hinihingi nila tulad ng mga business permit , mayor's permit etc.... paano sila makakakuha daw ng mga permit na ito kung mag-uumpisa pa lang sila ng business as in uutang palang sila para mapagtayo ng negosyo

Sir,

bakit po ganon, sabi nila sa website at article nila na Non-collateral daw itong programa nila..pero after naming ma complete lahat ng requirements like Business permit, DTI, Seminar in OWWA at ung business plan hindi parin pwede kc ang sabi ng Land Bank need daw ng collateral, and take note dapat ang property ay along the highway dapat at hindi pwede ung mga nasa liblib na lugar..

what kind of service is that?.. we spend money, time & effort to complete the requirements as stated in their website tapos biglang iba ang sabi ng Lan Bank, hindi po ba parang ginagawang Tanga kaming mga OFW.

Landbank have no collateral no loan policy. so maraming ofw hindi maka avail ng loan for P2-Billion ofw reintegration program. Another classic scam publicity of owwa and landbank. hahaha
