How to renew expired license from LTO (Land Transportation Office) in the Philippines? Tips and guide
4. Idala ang lumang lisensya at Official receipt (noong last renewal mo, mayroong official receipt na kasama).
May penalty kapag lumagpas ka ng expiry date: Php 75 (1 day to 1 year)/Php 150 (1 year & 1 day to 2 years)/Php 225 (more than 2 years)

Earlier this month, President Noynoy Aquino or PNoy waited in line at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Tayuman, Manila to renew his driver’s license, two days before its expiration on his birthday on February 8.
Filipino applicants renewing their driver’s license were surprised to see the President himself waiting for his turn. It was not the first time that Aquino personally went to the LTO office to renew his driver’s license since he assumed office. The first time was at the LTO main office in East Avenue in Quezon City in 2011. He personally went to the LTO office, lined up and did not ask for any special treatment, as a law-abiding citizen. He underwent the whole process and the process was completed. For example, he personally inquired with the customer service and waited with the crowd. Of course, while waiting for his turn, there were people asking to take picture with him. Aquino also went through the process of having his photo taken using the computer cameras and signing the signature card. According to the Routing Slip of the LTO, the total processing time for Aquino’s license was 26 minutes.
