Nurses for Dubai -Walk in application tourist visa

Since mukhang iilan lang ang agencies dito sa Pinas for nurses for Dubai, UAE, what would you advice to those who are intending na kumuha ng tourist visa at mag walk in application doon? Do you think it will be worth it? thinking na hindi magiging biro ang budget na isusugal sa paghahanap ng work doon kung sakali

Question: Since there seems to be only a few employment agencies deploying Filipino nurses to Dubai in United Arab Emirates, what would you advise those who are intending to just get a tourist visa and making walk-in applications in companies in Dubai?

May we ask for a small favor?

Unlike others, we don't charge users fees for asking questions from our medical, legal and other experts. This is because we want to keep our services free and accessible to all, regardless of social or financial status.

But it's difficult and expensive work. While more underserved Filipinos are using BuhayOFW, none are paying for it. And advertising revenues are minimal. Nevertheless, we have costs like any other top site: servers, power, rent, programs, staff, medical/legal experts, etc. We take no government funds; we run on donations.

So if you value our work in helping less fortunate Filipino friends, then become a Supporter and help make our future more secure. Help us continue our work.

Hello Cha, I am a CPA working in Dubai so basically, I cannot provide you with exact procedure for nurses who wants to work here. However, based on my knowledge, nurses professional are required to take and pass the HAAD exam before you can work as a nurse here, checked on this site www.haad.ae.

Getting a tourist visa is a fastest way of entering in UAE, but its not guarantee that you'll get a work right away. Some are too lucky that it didn't take them long to find job. You are mostly given 1 month visa and can be extend to another 1 month so you have 2 months time to actively seeking for a job.

Thanks Jean! Is 500-1000 dirhams be sufficient to cover for expenses such as food, transportation, etc. for 1 month? Since I'm an applicant, I might be travelling a lot. Is the city easy to navigate through buses and trains? And how about the language? I used to work in KSA where one really needs to learn Arabic because many are not proficient in English.

Dubai is much more expensive to live than any other emirates in UAE, however it offers more job opportunities than others as well. 500-1000 AED may or not be enough for food and transportation because it depends on how you'll gonna spend it. However you can spend at a minimum of 25 dhs/day on food (that's the thriftiest way of spending). Most business establishments here are accessible by trains and buses. The maximum fare for the train is 5.80 dhs for 1 way, but for travelling to nearer stations is cheaper. For bus it has a lower cost.

Hi Danes! I agree with you. But the thing is... kokonti lang ang agencies sa Pinas with job offers for nurses bound for Dubai. that's why I'm thinking na mag walk-in nalang dun mismo.

Sometimes you need to take the risks if you want fast result. You just have to be very active in seeking jobs here considering that competitions are very high with nationalities from all over the world. Specially now that Dubai will be hosting Expo 2020, thousands of people comes here every day to find work, only few who comes for pleasure.

Good luck to you and God bless.

Hi Cha! Heto naman ang maisasuggest ko sa'yo. Based sa mga friends and relatives ko na nasa UAE, mas madaling maghanap ng work as a tourist sa Abu Dhabi kesa sa Dubai dahil nga sa taas ng competition. Ngayon, dahil nurse ka, kakailanganin mong magtake ng HAAD or DHA exam for license.

Mahigpit na sila ngayon sa verifications kaya be sure na genuine lahat ng documents na ipapasa mo in case na magtake ka ng exam. For your guide, you can check here http://pinoyexpatforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=1212
